Chicken Vindaloo

Ingredients:
Chicken - 2 lb
Potato - 1 medium sized , peeled and cut to big pieces.
Coriander pwdr - 1 tbsp
Turmeric pwdr - 1/2 tsp
Tomato sauce - 1/2 cup
Paste of 6 cloves garlic and 1 inch ginger;
For Vindaloo Paste:
Onion - 2 big , thinly sliced to rings
Fry in oil till dark brown.
Grind to smooth paste with 2 tbsp water.
Spice Pwdr:To be ground
cumin - 2tsp
peppercorns - 1 tsp
cardamom seeds - 1 tsp
cinnamon - 3 inch stick
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
fenugreek - 1 tsp
Dried Red Chilly - 6-8
To the above pwdr add
Vinegar - 3 tbsp
Powdered jaggery - 1 tsp
Salt.
Mix well. Now add the brown onion paste and Mix well.
This is vindaloo paste.
Method:
1) Heat oil , Add ginger garlic paste.Add corriander pwdr and turmeric pwdr.
2) Drop chicken little by little and fry for few minutes.
3) Add vindaloo paste. Fry for a minute.
4) Add tomato sauce , 1 cup water , potato.
5) Simmer for 30 minutes.

By the way i tried ur butter chicken .. actually butter mutton ... Came out really well.
