White Mutton Korma

The Korma was suppoed to be white , it was white when to start with ,
but after 17 whistles for the mutton to cook , it lost the charm.
It tasted good though .. Best thing to do will be to cook mutton seperately and cook it in the gravy for half an hour on sim ..

Ingredients:

Mutton - 1 lb
Cloves - 3
Cinnamon - 3 inch stick
Bay leaf - 1
Onion - 3 Medium sized , thinly sliced
Tomato - 2 small diced
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Corriander leaves - 1/2 bunch
Curd - 2 tbsp
Corriander pwdr - 1 tsp
Green Chilly - 11 ( Fried in oil till white( shud not bcome brown) and ground )
Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
Cashews - 10 soaked in 1 tbsp warm water and made to paste

Method:

1) Heat oil , fry bay leaf , cloves and cinnamon till aromatic.
2) Add onions and fry till light pink.
3) Add chilly paste. Add mutton and saute for 2 minutes.
4) Add tomato , all powders , coriander leaves , curd and fry till tomatoes get cooked
5) Add water and cook till mutton is done.
6) Bring to boil , add coconut milk. Simmer for 10 minutes.
7) Add cashew paste. Bring to boil and switch off.

Most of the white mutton Korma recipes do not include tomatoes. That could possibly be a reason for it not turning out to be white in the end.
